Just came back from watching

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. & let me just say.. it  gets two thumbs up. Not just saying that because I’m an Indian and the movie took place in India, but it was thought provoking and pretty powerful. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS WEAK AND IGNORANT WAS…

Okay, so, the movie was British. & there was one character who kept quoting Kipling. “Okay, cool, it’s a Brit dude quoting Kipling, it makes sense.” But then, they had an INDIAN dude quote Kipling. FIRSTLY, Kipling hated Indian people - he thought brown/black people were barbaric and needed to be tamed by white people. The White Man’s Burden, HELLO PEOPLE? So why in the world is an Indian dude quoting him. Brit writers can be so clueless sometimes.

The best index to a person’s character is how he treats people who can’t do him any good, and how he treats people who can’t fight back. – Abigail Van Buren (via larmoyante)
